We are looking for a Senior Litigation Solicitor to join a great local authority based in London on a contract basis.

The successful Senior Litigation Solicitor will be dealing with a variety of civil litigation - with a housing and property focus. This will include:

  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Disrepair
  • Landlord and tenant
  • Civil and Criminal Litigation
  • Homelessness
  • Appear as the Council's advocate in Courts, Tribunals, Inquiries or other hearings as appropriate
  • Draft, prepare and collate pleadings, witness statements, summonses, complaints, indictments and other legal documentation

This role would suit a Litigation Lawyer who is flexible and able to prioritise tasks effectively. Previous experience of working for a local authority would be desirable for this role, although not essential provided that a good knowledge of housing law within the public sector is held.

In return, the client is offering a competitive hourly rate along with some flexibility with working arrangements, to include up to 2 days working from home.

If you believe you have the necessary skills and experience for the Housing Lawyer role, please apply now by sending an up to date CV to Kemi Awodiji at kemi.awodiji@sellickpartnership.co.uk. We will be reviewing CVs on a weekly basis and shortlisted candidates will be contacted before the closing date.
