Senior Communications Officer

Location: Manchester based with flexibility throughout the North of England

Salary: £27,898 - £32,548 per annum

Role profile

This is an exciting opportunity to join a prominent public sector organisation within the North of England. The organisation is at the forefront of change and innovation affecting the way people live, work and play in the region. The role of the Senior Communications Officer plays a pivotal part in this activity.

As the Senior Communications Officer you will undertake proactive and reactive internal & external communications, media relations and engagement activities; implementing and delivering the organisation's strategies and plans.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the delivery of the Communications strategy and meet core objectives whilst enhancing and maintaining the reputation of the organisation.

Person specification

The ideal candidate will be:

- Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject,

- Be able to demonstrate previous experience within media relations, corporate communications, social media, stakeholder engagement, internal communications, events and e-communications.

- Will have previous experience of developing communications and media campaigns and have produced quality content across multiple communication channels.

Public sector experience is highly desirable.
