My client is a full service, top 100 UK law firm with offices in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Norwich, Ipswich. This well-established firm have built their reputable history by keeping a fantastic track record advising institutions, businesses, and individuals both in the UK and internationally. Advising all types of organisations in the public sector, including the NHS and educational departments, my client work with their clients to deliver strategic and high profile projects to only add to their value to the public.
The opportunity has arisen for a Senior Corporate Solicitor to work within this department, providing local authority clients with Corporate/Commercial legal advice. The successful candidate will have 5 years PQE +, and experience working with a local authority development company would be advantageous as you would be assisting in the following areas:
- Local Authority commercialisation and formation of local authority companies
- Joint ventures, partnerships and company structures
- State Aid Funding Agreements
- Local Authority governance
- General commercial agreements
- Intellectual Property, data protection and GDPR
- Public Procurement (services, supplies, works and concessions)
My client is flexible to office base location. Coming from a Local Authority background would be of distinct interest, but not essential. Business Development ability and willingness to participate in networking is of utmost importance to this role.
