Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a technical Senior Finance Manager for a highly successful and instantly recognisable retail business based in Manchester City Centre. The business has been consistently growing over the past few years and they are now looking to continue to outperform their competitors by driving their strategic plans further. The finance team is playing a critical role in this transformation which has led to the need for a technically strong individual to improve and enhance their group reporting.

You will be in charge of all technical accounting areas across the all-encompassing group. You will partner with a range of both financial and non-financial stakeholders to offer accounting advice and insight to inform strategic decision making. A key individual in the business, you will constantly be assessing the wider commercial team to ascertain how the group can implement and adhere to regulations on a larger scale.

The Role

  • Complete a technical review of the Group Annual and Interim reports as well as subsidiary statutory reporting
  • Advise and influence decision makers on new ventures, business change projects, acquisitions and disposals
  • Prepare all audit papers for external audit
  • Be a point of contact throughout the external audit
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS across the group
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders to discuss the direction of the group

The Person

The successful applicant will be a proactive, fully qualified Accountant (ACA or ICAS) either making their first or second move from practice with a broad knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and statutory accounts. Due to the nature of this position it is necessary that the successful individual is able to communicate with staff at all levels, whilst maintaining their own work load.
