A well-regarded east London Borough Council are looking for a Senior Housing Lawyer to join their welcoming team on an initial locum contract, 3 to 6 months, with a view to being extended.

The Senior Housing Lawyer should possess knowledge of antisocial behaviour, judicial reviews and disrepair matters. They will be dealing with a wide variety of housing law matters and will provide general housing advice to the Council and related bodies. Further responsibilities will include the supervision of two junior members of staff.

The Senior Housing Lawyer will be expected to conduct their own advocacy, and as such, should have prior experience of advocacy. Previous managerial experience is desirable but not essential. While those from a local authority background are highly desirable, our client will strongly consider those from other backgrounds with relevant and transferable skills.
