Senior Housing Legal Assistant required to join a friendly and well-regarded local authority based in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Legal Assistant to undertake a varied role within a busy team.
The successful candidate will be based in the housing team and working mainly on housing possession work in respect of non-secure tenancies and recovering possession of temporary accommodation. As a Housing Legal Assistant, you will be providing advice to clients, preparing court documents and attend court to conduct advocacy.
This local authority is looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running to deal with cases quickly and efficiently, chasing up court hearings or eviction dates, all the while keeping clients informed. It is really important for our client that the successful Legal Assistant has a can-do attitude, and is able to demonstrate great teamwork and prioritisation qualities.
The ideal candidate will have previous housing experience, and any experience of working within a local authority would be beneficial. We are keen to hear from a qualified legal executive, however the client is open to hearing from those who are not qualified but have previous experience of housing work.
The office is easily accessible, located within walking distance from the nearest train station.
