Senior Management Accountant required on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis, to work for an interesting not for profit client, offering a very flexible work approach. You will be accountable for the preparation of reports on financial performance, business analysis reports, cash flow and expenditure forecasts and for providing expert advice and support to budget holders. You will also be accountable for providing information for Freedom of Information requests, Parliamentary Questions and other external information requests, as ad when required.

You will assist the Chief Management Accountant in overall budgetary control of the organisation, including being responsible for monitoring the release and set-up of provisions throughout the year and providing a comprehensive year-end statement and regularly reconciling restricted income.

As the Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting budget holders in drawing up budgets and preparing reports on financial performance, including forecasts and, where necessary, modelling. You will also prepare other business analysis reports.

The Senior Management Accountant will also contribute to and have a co-ordinating role implementing, developing and reviewing process improvements related to finance.

In addition, the Senior Management Accountant will assist the Chief Management Accountant in the administration of the budget-setting process and you will compile monthly organisation-wide management accounts for review by the Chief Management Accountant.

It is essential for the position of the Senior Management Accountant that you are either Fully CCAB qualified, or that you are part qualified with significant exposure of working within a Management Accounts function. You will have excellent excel skills and have experience of providing statistical and data analyses derived from a range of reporting packages. You will have experience of managing a team. You will also have effective influencing and interpersonal skills, with a track record in developing professional and personal credibility with colleagues at all levels coupled with the ability to think and act creatively, championing and promoting new ideas that contribute to the aims of the organisation and the team.
