Senior Media & Content Officer
An experienced Senior Media & Content Officer is required to join a high profile public sector organisation for an interim 8 week assignment whilst the permanent position is recruited to.
The purpose of the role is to undertake proactive and reactive media management, communications and engagement activity implementing and delivering strategies and plans. The successful applicant will carry out complex communication and media management activities with guidance from senior colleagues.
Responsibilities will include:
- Creating press releases, creative content and blogs for internal and external use
- Leading on social media content
- Managing internal and external stakeholders
- Acting as first point of contact for media enquiries
- Leading on media events
- Supporting the wider communications team as required
The successful candidate will ideally have experience and exposure to working within local government or the wider public sector however candidates from the private sector/agency experience who have worked with public sector clients will also be considered.
This role requires an immediate start and candidates must be available for the duration of the 8 week assignment.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in some high profile public sector projects and issues and to work with senior stakeholders in their field of expertise.
