Senior Planning Lawyer required to join a well-regarded local authority based in London on an initial locum contract, with the possibility of extension thereafter.
About the role
As Senior Planning Lawyer, you will be carrying an extensive caseload of complex legal work in respect of planning and highways matters. This will include:
- Section 106 work (complex major schemes)
- Attending planning committees
- Legal advice work
- Highways agreements
The successful candidate will provide legal supervision to less senior fee earners in the team as appropriate, and work closely with Legal Assistants and Legal Support Officers to supervise the administrative support they provide on legal transactions. The ideal candidate will have local government experience, however those from a private sector experience will be strongly considered.
