Role: Senior Practice Management Officer

Location: Central Birmingham

Hourly rate: £15 - £25 umbrella per hour

My client is a large public sector organisation based in central Birmingham. They are looking for a bright and proactive individual to join their Practice Management Team on a locum basis as a Senior Practice Management Officer.

As a Senior Practice Management Officer in this organisation you will be tasked with a range of duties, meaning each day brings new challenges and a diverse work load. This is a fast paced environment and will enable you to work autonomously, whilst forming part of a larger team. You will work across all the legal services, assisting all the individual teams, resulting in an interesting work load of matters relating to children's law, employment law, contractual law, property law, and risk and compliance.

Previous experience in auditing compliance or Quality Management Systems in a professional services environment would be advantageous. The role may also be suited to good quality candidates with a background in implementing change, improvement drives, transformation and other management initiatives.

The successful candidates must be able to be proactive, demonstrate excellent planning skills and an aptitude for Quality in a legal environment to manage external accreditations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information simply and rapidly as well as an ability to work to a high standard as part of a team in a pressurised environment. You should be able to inspire confidence and be passionate about Quality Management Systems to help the end client maximise their potential in a very challenging service area.

This role is ideally suited to someone looking for full time hours. Whilst the client can offer training the ideal candidate will have experience in a practice management officer or senior officer. Alternatively, you may also have a background in a legal assistant or paralegal capacity. Legal nouse and research skills are key for this client.
