Sellick Partnership are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Property Lawyer to join a well-regarded London Council's property and development team on a locum basis.
This opportunity is a locum contract, initially for 3 months, and expected to be extended on a rolling basis. The Senior Property Lawyer will be able to enjoy the flexibility offered by the council, and will be able to work on a hybrid basis. The successful Senior Property Lawyer will ideally attend the office in London 2 days per week.
The council's legal team are a fantastic supportive group and deal with a wide variety of interesting work. The role is offering a highly competitive rate and there may be permanent opportunities available further down the line.
As this is a Senior Property Lawyer role, the post will involve management. The successful candidate will supervise and mentor 4 other Property Lawyers. The workload will include:
- Commercial property matters such as landlord and tenant, licenses, leases, etc.
- Development and regeneration
- Providing support and guidance to direct reports
- Oversight of some RTB work
The successful Senior Property Lawyer must have substantial experience in property law. While prior local authority experience is preferable, it is not essential so long as a sufficient experience in property and development is shown.
