Senior Property Lawyer required to join local authority based in London on a locum contract.
As a Senior Property Lawyer, your duty will be to act as principal legal adviser in relation to non-contentious matters, including:
- Landlord and Tenant queries
- Transactional work e.g. leases and licenses for businesses, drafting and negotiating new commercial leases
- Hire agreements
- Commercial purchase and sales
- Acquisition and sales of freehold and leasehold land both registered and unregistered including option agreements
- Disposals in relation to housing sites and land to the registered provider; development agreements
- Dealing with lease extensions and enfranchisements
- Regeneration projects
The ideal candidate will have previous local authority experience, although Property Lawyers from private practice backgrounds are encouraged to apply if they have a good knowledge of public law.
