Senior Prosecutions Lawyer required to work within the Criminal Prosecutions team in a local authority based in Central London. The role will initially be for 3 months working on a busy caseload within a high profile team. There is a strong possibility this will be extended beyond the initial term.
The successful candidate should be competent in a range of enforcement matters including non-routine criminal proceedings (including benefit fraud and advising clients on licensing matters). You will be taking over an existing caseload and conducting magistrate's court cases. Higher Rights of Audience experience is an advantage but not required for this role.
In addition to looking after the team's more complex cases the successful individual will also take on some management responsibility. This will include supervision of a small team and deputising for the Principal lawyer. Initially this role will be 5 days a week in the office with some scope for homeworking further down the line.
To apply please note you will need at least 4 years PQE, local authority experience and have hold a current practising certificate.
Please apply immediately for consideration as the client is wishing to shortlist ASAP. For more information please contact Kate Wilkinson in our Manchester office.
