Senior Regeneration Officer

An urgent requirement has arisen for one of our Public Sector clients in Morpeth, Northumberland, to assist with regenerations works surrounding the Energising Blyth project.

Initially offered on a 3month contract, however it could be extended for up to 12months

The aim of the role will be to support the successful development, implementation and delivery of capital focused regeneration projects and programmes

 

Key responsibilities of the Senior Regeneration Officer:

  • Assisting with the development and delivery of the Energising Blyth capital regeneration programme
  • Taking the lead on particular tasks such as co-ordinating governance arrangements, project sponsor liaison, procurement tasks and the production of regular programme and project reporting
  • Developing and updating a full suite of project and programme documentation including risk and issues registers, highlight and exception reports, NCC's Regeneration Investment Pipeline and other NCC performance monitoring
  • Working with Finance to compile claims and monitoring reports
  • Working with the Economic Growth and Regeneration Team to develop and implement community engagement plans
  • Collecting and updating data and performance indicators as part of the evidence base to support programme delivery and monitoring
  • Adopting effective and constructive relationships with colleagues and external contacts
  • Taking a lead in the development and support of specific projects, reporting on progress, and monitoring the output
  • Preparing reports and attending Appraisal Panels, Cabinet, Scrutiny and other Council Committees as directed

Required skills and experience of the Senior Regeneration Officer:

  • BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent standard of general education
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, practices and procedures in relation to the specialist area of place-based regeneration
  • Good understanding of regeneration issues focused on capital programme delivery
  • Demonstrable experience in the management and delivery of capital projects related to town regeneration initiatives
