To deliver outstanding service to customers in relation to the setting of accurate and recoverable service charges for all of our housing porfolio, including supported housing, general needs, shared ownership and leasehold properties.
Key to this role will be using extensive knowledge and experiance of service charge setting and recovery to ensure best value for money for customers and BCHA.
Specific responsibility for the setting and monitoring of service charges in line with best practise and legal framework.
Respnsibility of serving section 20 consultation (Commonhold and leasehold Reform Act 2002) notice
To create positive relationship with each local authority Housing Benefit department and respond to any challenges on our service charge.
Work with Senior Practitioners in supported schemes on service charge setting.
Benchmarking BCHA charges, seek best practise within the housing sector and demonstrate best value.
Update asset register and procurement of services.
