Skills Officer

Location - Manchester City Centre

Duration - 3 months

The role

Working for a highly regarded, progressive not for profit organisation in Manchester. This role will be to support the Skills Manager and to work alongside the HR function, acting as first point of contact for all training related queries.

The Skills Officer will provide coordination and administrative support necessary to deliver a high quality service to internal colleagues across two sites.

Duties will include:

  • Support operational plans in Skills and Development as required,
  • Liaising with external specialists,
  • Act as first point of contact to enquiries,
  • Updating the intranet in line with company wide communications,
  • Producing training reports,
  • Responsibility for the HR & Skills mailbox,
  • Managing the HR & Skills training calendar,
  • Scheduling training sessions,

This role requires exceptional organisation skills, attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge and previous experience of Microsoft packages in particular Powerpoint, which will allow them to work autonomously. Experience of Sharepoint would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Interviews will take place in December and the successful candidate will be appointed to start in the New Year.
