Strategic Principal Childcare Lawyer is required to join a local authority based in Northamptonshire for a 12 month fixed term contract to start as soon as possible.
Our client is seeking an ambitious and talented childcare law specialist to come in and review the service provision. You will be based directly within the client department and will be looking at reviewing processes and ways of working with the view to assist with implementing changes across the service to make a smoother transition between the client department and legal services.
This is an exciting and interesting project for someone who is keen to progress their career further and looking at change management or alternatively someone who is already at Principal/ Senior level and looking to take a break from fee earning to a more strategic hands on role. This will open many doors for future roles within the organisation and will give you invaluable experience within an organisation which is striving for change.
The successful postholder will have experience of public childcare matters and have a deep understanding of local government ways of working. You will be working cohesively with your direct report 'Head of Childcare' and also working alongside the Director of Childrens services and Assistant Director.
This role is unique but gives someone the opportunity to really make an impact. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with the current workings towards the two unitary bodies as well.
