Our client, a local housing association, is recruiting for an office based Support Worker to assist their more vulnerable customers with a range of support need, particularly the elderly and those living with dementia

The post is offered on a 6month FTC, however may become permanent pending further funding

Duties of the Support Worker include:

  • Supporting customers and households with a wide range of support needs, for example access to food/medication, mental health, loneliness and isolation, anxiety, stress and disabilities
  • Developing new and existing partnerships with specialist providers of support for customers, in particular the elderly and those living with dementia
  • Identifying and sharing local and digital social groups to support with social isolation
  • Identifying safeguarding concerns
  • Developing and maintaining clear and consistent individual plans
  • Making best use of the digital tools and teams around you to ensure there are no barriers to providing support for those who need it
  • Stepping in to provide ad hoc intensive support when identified, to enable core landlord responsibilities to be delivered
  • Proactively engaging customers to help identify greater support needs
