Our client based in Oswestry and Bridgnorth is looking to recruit a Support Worker on an initial temporary basis. You will be responsible for the overall management of a designated Sheltered Scheme, giving housing support to Older people and generic floating support.
Key Responsibilities of the Support Worker:
⦁ Offer targeted housing related support to eligible customers in order to promote their independence, support customers into wider community integration, help people feel safe and secure within their environment, reduce debt dependency and to actively support customers into purposeful activities and where appropriate into education, training and work opportunities.
⦁ Assess customers for support eligibility and agree support tasks and outcomes to be achieved. This will include setting appropriate levels, method and frequency of support required.
⦁ Regularly review the progress of support, and report on outcomes achieved
⦁ Prompt and encourage customers to establish and maintain settled lifestyles
⦁ Support customers with money management including debt counselling, claiming benefits accessing money advice
⦁ Support customers to comply with the conditions of their tenancy and engage with the communities they live in.
Essential criteria of the Support Worker:
⦁ NVQ or equivalent in a relevant field
⦁ Previous experience within a similar role
⦁ Full UK Driving Licence
⦁ Enhanced DBS
