Tax Accountant

Tax Accountant required to join a rapidly growing housing company based in Liverpool. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Tax Accountant to join their dynamic and growing finance function in one of the most established housing companies within the North West on a permanent, full-time basis.

As the Tax Accountant you will be working with the Head of Financial Compliance and Tax with the development of an effective tax function alongside other duties below:

Key responsibilities of the Tax Accountant

  • Lead on tax compliance relating to VAT, Corporation Tax and Employment Tax
  • Submission of VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax returns
  • Support the production of financial statements
  • Provide tax advice to stakeholders whilst liaising with Tax Advisors
  • Support the implementation of systems
  • Negotiate with HMRC on new methods

Required skills and experience of the Tax Accountant

  • CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA qualified/equivalent tax qualification
  • Experience delivering tax service
  • Track record of implementing tax systems
  • Evidence of continual professional development
