The client is looking to recruit a Technical Development and Finance Systems Manager who will have a dual role of leading a team, developing and maintaining the finance and information systems and also developing the staff.
Key Experience: Advanced technical knowledge of
SQL Server 2008R2 Management including T-SQL scripts and building objects, including the generation and use of SSIS, SSMS and SSRS packages. Also developing T-SQL and understanding the complex scripts within this
Programming languages including ASP.Net and VBA for Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel
Data warehousing techniques for development and design principles (e.g ETL)
Principles and procedures of data quality best practice in a data warehouse environment
Business intelligence tools and techniques for presentation of data as information
Strong customer service orientation and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with different staff groups; communicating effectively at all levels and comfortable presenting to others.
Able to question and challenge existing practices and working methods in order to create innovative workable solutions
Advanced keyboard skills.
Drawing on significant experience of databases and business intelligence systems, the post holder will be responsible for the planning, development, review, update, upgrade and introduction of the Trust's Business Intelligence and Finance infrastructure in order to provide robust, timely and accurate reporting to support senior management in their decision-making processes. This will include managing the data warehouse, finance systems and Patient Level Information and Costing System (PLICS).
The successful candidate will be proficient in a number of technologies, including SQL Server, and have a proven track-record of developing technical reporting solutions. It would be ideal if the candidtaes uncerstood the ASP.Net portal application is wirtten in C#. Equally important however, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to improve capability through the implementation of standards and standardised working practices. You will be proactive, able to work autonomously, have a "can-do" attitude and be up for a challenge.
