Tenant Liaison Officer

We are working on behalf of an organisation in Stevenage are looking for a Tenant Liaison Officer

The main purpose of the role will be to liaise with tenants to gain access and enable works to customer homes in advance of, and during programmes of major works

Responsibilities of the Tenant Liaison Officer include:

  • Working with contractor resident liaison staff providing support and direction to manage difficult to deal with customers and situations, ensuring that issues raised are responded to and dealt with within agreed timescales
  • Liaising with residents, internal customers, contractors and the Investment team on a day to day basis, addressing enquires and concerns raised on projects being delivered
  • Making home visits as appropriate to assist contractors in gaining access and progressing works to properties, whilst confirming that suitable plans are in place to ensure residents are fully supported during the works
  • Working with lettings and empty homes departments when dealing with void properties, and where decants or permanent moves are required
  • Leading on the handling of enquiries and complaint investigations, including those from Councillors and MPs
  • Visiting residents where required, coordinating responses and relevant information from stakeholders and providing draft responses for approval
  • Ensuring that action is taken and customers are kept informed of progress

The successful Tenant Liaison Officer will ideally have:

  • Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (ideally have business insurance)
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel
