Treasury Accountant

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Treasury Accountant on a Fixed Term arrangement. The role is responsible for the effective day to day management of a loan portfolio, security portfolio and cash management and forecasting for the group. The role is key to effective financial reporting, forecasting and monitoring of the Group's financial position.

Day to day duties of the role include:

  • Ensure the Group's cash position is appropriate to meet the needs of internal customers and the business
  • Ensure financial information is correctly accounted for in the general ledger, enabling the Group Finance team to accurately report the financial results to their relevant customers
  • Produce and maintain a working cash flow based on the information provided by the relevant budget holders
  • Ensure loan covenants and golden rules are monitored effectively and adhered to
  • Undertake balance sheet and bank reconciliations on a monthly basis and ensure any reconciliation issues are dealt with in a timely manor
  • Maximise the treasury function in support of the Finance Team's and the Group's overall objectives
  • Ensure all cash and bank transactions are recorded correctly and reconciled on a monthly basis prior to the period end closing
  • Complete the monthly bank reconciliations for all treasury related items, such as bank and loan responsibilities
  • Ensure the asset register is kept up to date for loans and security and that the information agrees back to the corporate systems
  • Ensure stock is always in charge to meet the requirements of cash flow and loan portfolio.

Key experience must include:

  • Previous experience of day to day cash banking
  • Previous experience of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Previous experience of process improvements
  • Sound understanding of cash flow
  • Extensive experience of working on the fixed asset register
