Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a UK Reporting Director for an instantly recognisable global financial services organisation in Manchester.
This senior position will act as a specialist who will support the UK FCA and PRA authorised legal entities and be responsible for the internal and external financial regulatory reports for the entities. You will also provide leadership and direction to a team of reporting professionals that are based within the UK and abroad, that support the banking entities.
You will have accountability for all regulatory & statistical reporting including the related interpretations, issues and deadlines for the UK entities. You will sit on internal committees and project groups and will interact on a regular basis with external parties such as regulators, auditors, industry associations and internal parties such as treasury, compliance and risk departments, systems specialists, group regulatory department and local entity management with front line regulator liaison.
This role includes excellent growth potential within Finance and can also serve as a gateway to other areas within the business. Your success will largely derive from your stakeholder management, technical and commercial abilities as you take on multiple projects/tasks within tight timelines. The quality of your work product will also be key and should demonstrate attention to detail and sound judgment.
The successful applicant will ideally be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA coming from a similar role coupled with a strong academic record and ideally have Financial Services experience, particularly Banking.
You will have significant Regulatory reporting experience within complex departments; have great verbal and written communication skills and in-depth knowledge of 'controls'; regulatory reporting experience is ideal; experience of a fast moving, complex, highly controlled, multi-national/ functional organisation; analytical with an inquisitive/challenging mind set and significant experience of accounting systems and processes (e.g. advanced user of excel)
Due to the multi-faceted nature of this position it is essential that the successful individual has proven experience in relationship building, influencing others as well as managing people and projects.
