Overview of the Underwriter role
Sellick Partnership is delighted to be supporting a leading and well-established insurance organisation in the recruitment of an experienced Underwriter. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking business during a period of strategic development and transformation.
Key responsibilities of the Underwriter will include:
- Supporting the development and delivery of underwriting strategy
- Defining and applying underwriting appetite, guidelines, and best practice
- Translating risk appetite into clear policies, processes, and frameworks
- Analysing data and market trends to inform decision-making
Required experience and qualifications of the Underwriter will include:
- Proven experience within a general insurance underwriting role
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial or personal lines
- Experience working in a strategic, head office, or portfolio underwriting environment
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
