Sellick Partnership is delighted to be assisting a University based in London to recruit a permanent Legal Adviser to their small, friendly team.

This university very rarely recruit to their legal team so don't miss out on this excellent opportunity to join them and excel your legal career!

Please note that this role is office based 4-5 days a week.

You do not need to be a qualified Lawyer to be considered for this role but you must be able to demonstrate the relevant legal experience.

The Department

The University's Legal Team sit in the University's Directorate and are responsible for ensuring the legal compliance of the University.

 

The Role

As the Legal Adviser you will provide legal and administrative support to the Head of Legal Services, as well as other members of the department. Duties will include but not limited to the review, drafting and advice of diverse range of contracts across the University's core business areas, liaising with clients, and external stakeholders, managing databases and filing systems, organising meetings, completing and filing statutory returns.

 

The Person

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, service focused, with a can-do attitude, and ability and confidence to interact with a wide range of internal and external clients.

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience in drafting, review and advising on contracts
  • Substantial experience in administration work
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload

It is not essential to have prior experience in the Higher Education sector as long as you can demonstrate the experience enlisted above.
