Valuation Actuary sought to join a leading UK Life Insurer on a permanent basis.

This opportunity is perfect for somebody with good exam progress who is searching for a varied role in which they can play a pivotal part in a company's Actuarial function.

The successful Valuation Actuary will get the chance to work on a variety of projects involving managing valuation processes, system developments, and working alongside other departments to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities of the Valuation Actuary:

  • Support quarterly Actuarial Valuations (UKGAAP, IFRS, HGB, Solvency II)
  • Test and implement changes to Actuarial Valuation systems (eg RAFM Models)
  • Get involved in wider Actuarial work including Experience Analysis Investigations, and validating Capital Models

Key Experience of the Valuation Actuary:

  • 2-3 Years' experience in an Actuarial role
  • Experience in a Life Insurer/Reinsurer advantageous but not required
  • Good exam progress
