Calling all Housing Lawyers!

Established in 2004, Sellick Partnership Legal specialises in the provision of locum, contract and permanent legal professionals within the public sector, not-for-profit and private sectors. Throughout the UK, we are leaders in placing legal professionals into a range of disciplines and have a strong presence across all regions. Our consultants hold regular open days, interview sessions, career clinics and weekly meetings with both new and existing clients across the country to ensure we add value to our clients and candidates alike.

As a business, we are acutely aware that the competition is high in our chosen sector and as a result we must make ourselves stand out from the rest of the crowd.  We continually sponsor annual events such as the LGG Weekend School and the Berkshire Family Justice Board Annual Conference. We understand it is paramount to our service that we provide continual support to both our candidates and clients. As such, I decided two months ago to organise an event that would aid the career development of my main contacts in the London area who work within the housing law arena.

I identified housing law as one of the busiest areas over the past 18 months for many of my clients and the event that focuses on keeping my contacts up to date with the ever changing regulations in this area of the law. This is a free housing law CPD event in Temple, London on Thursday 5th June 2014 and we are delighted to be working in conjunction with Church Court Chambers for this event. The quality of the venue and the speakers at this seminar will provide an excellent partnership. I see the provision of such CPD courses as an investment in my chosen market and my candidates' future careers.

The session will provide the opportunity for those who specialise in housing law to listen to 3 key speakers who will address different aspects of this area of the law. The speakers are all barristers at Church Court Chambers; Peter Wareing will discuss housing injunctions and the requirements to secure successful injunctions; Colin Witcher will be addressing health and safety matters which affect all organisations; and finally Jo Morris shall be examining advocacy skills and how best to present your argument at court.

The event is offered by Sellick Partnership free of charge to our clients and candidates and each attendee will receive 2 CPD points, as well as the opportunity to network with our consultants, the barristers themselves, and fellow legal professionals. Events such as this provide a fantastic opportunity for our key clients to discuss topics affecting their specialist area of the law, and learn how any problematic areas are handled by neighbouring organisations.

To book your place contact me on 0161 834 1642  or e-mail: kate.jasper@sellickpartnership.co.uk. Refreshments will be served during registration from 4pm, and will continue with wine and canapés after the seminar. It bodes to be a great evening so I look forward to seeing you there!
