As a business, we always seeking new and exciting ways to add value to candidates and clients alike. As such, the Sellick Partnership Legal division host a number of networking and training events. 2015/2016 will see a number of changes made in Certified Professional Development (CPD) training for solicitors, legal executives and barristers. This is why  we're excited to be hosting a free CPD training and networking event in partnership with 4-5 Gray's Inn Square, London  on the 21st May which will focus primarily on the The Care Act 201 and its impact on the transformation of community care law.

The Care Act 2014 which was fully implemented last month, introduces new responsibilities for local authorities and has contributed significantly to some of the biggest changes to Adult social care law in over 60 years.

Over the past few months, I have written numerous posts focusing on the impact and changes of the Care Act and how it has affected local government, the locum market and public spending. See below;

June 2014 - "The Ever Changing Locum Market "

September 2014 - "The Care Act - Revolutionising Adult Social Care"

October 2014 - "Public Mental Health Spending”

Our CPD training event will cover such topics and more with  key note speakers such as Richard Clayton QC, Sappho Dias and Lee Parkhill who are specialists within local government and community care law.

This CPD workshop will be an excellent opportunity for Adult lawyers within local government to share their ideas and explore new ways to tackle the challenges faced day to day. The training workshop will follow with a networking event which is a great way for people to connect and share their views of the latest changes in the legal landscape.

If you wish to find out more about this event or any other future CPD events contact Chelsey Newsom on 0161 834 2223
