Next week will be this year's LGG Conference, an annual event that provides training to legal professionals in the public sector. The conference runs from Thursday evening through to Saturday afternoon, and the weekend provides delegates with current training to keep up to speed on existing and pending legislation. The schedule is packed to the brim for the two days, with highlights being a session lead by Fenella Morris on "Implementing the Care Act 2014” and a session lead by Dr Mirza Ahmad on "Judicial Review Hot Topics”.

Sellick Partnership sponsor and exhibit at the event each year, and we are looking forward to doing so again in Exeter next week. Our stand will be 'spring themed', and will have some fun things on offer! The conference provides a fantastic opportunity for us to meet up with existing clients and candidates, as well as introducing ourselves to new ones. With over 200 delegates in attendance, it's a great chance to catch up and see what the next few months have in store!

On Friday the 17th April, our Legal Director, Hannah Cottam, will be holding a workshop on "Careers in Local Government and Career Opportunities” which will focus on your career path, and how the type of work you do, as well as the impression you make, can impact on your career trajectory.

On Saturday the 18th April, Rob Gee, Non-Executive Director of Sellick Partnership will also be speaking on Saturday afternoon entitled "Reflections of the 21st Century on World Class Leadership”. This session will offer practical advice and use local applications to understand what makes "World Class Leaders” so effective.

The Legal Team will be there for the duration with plenty of treats and goodies on our stand, so if you are going along please stop by and say hello! This is a great opportunity to discuss your next career move, or upcoming interim requirements within your team.
