LGG Weekend School - Bunting and Ice Cream!

We have returned to our Manchester office refreshed and ready for action after a busy few days attending the LGG Conference in York last week.

Visiting with our 'Spring picnic' themed stand - complete with fake grass, bunting, and cakes - we had a steady stream of new and old faces visiting (and not just for the ice cream...) Our 'Guess the Number of Mini-Eggs' game had everyone excited, with Alison McKane from the London Borough of Lambeth guessing correctly and winning herself the goodies. The prize draw for the Veuve Cliquot travel case will take place later today, with Jo Sellick picking the lucky watch this space!

No matter how many events I attend, one of my personal highlights is witnessing the connection between Sellick Partnership consultants and their clients and candidates. Their market knowledge allows us to provide advice to a wide range of sectors and current affairs, creating a strong trust with individuals which goes beyond a single event.

The quiz, which took place on Friday, was a huge success, giving attendees an opportunity to relax and network in a more informal manner. The new format adopted by event organisers this year appeared to be really well received, with people remaining engaged throughout the day.

Sellick Partnership's non-executive director Rob Gee gave a seminar on the Saturday entitled "If Life is A Journey, Why Am I Standing Still?", which grabbed everyone's attention and lifted the event to another level. An engaging individual and motivational speaker, he started by saying he left London at 9AM, was in York by 1PM, had eaten two ice creams from our stand, by 2.15PM was talking to a room full of delegates, and would be back in London by 6PM!

We have had a huge amount of positive feedback following, with attendees commenting that it was "Brilliant," "Inspirational," and "Movitating."

As always, the Sellick Partnership team worked really hard chatting, networking and being a main part of the fun that is the LGG weekend school, and a big thanks goes from me to them for their hard work and commitment!
