National HFMA Conference 2014: ‘Leading by Numbers’

I have to admit that the National HFMA London is right up there as one of my favourite annual conferences.

For the delegates and ourselves as specialist consultants it is a great opportunity to hear from some of the most prominent figures in the NHS including Simon Stevens, Chief Executive of NHS England, along with key policy makers, politicians, clinicians and professional and technical experts. I personally think that it is invaluable for any sector to share ideas, communicate and re-enforce the strategic vision of the organisation.

As I write my blog on the train to London to begin the three day event,  I am asking myself what else is it  about this conference that makes it so useful and for me personally, but also so  exciting…..
I don't think that I can ignore the fact that I am heading to our great capital in the festive season. London is such a fantastic city at any time of the year but I think London really knows how to showcase Christmas.

That aside, Sellick Partnership have sponsored regional HFMA conferences for the last 12 years and as a result our consultants have built  trusted relationships with our clients as we have supported the NHS through significant periods of change .I know that equally, our clients value the opportunity to discuss future recruitment plans that will inevitably support current and future  initiatives.

Many of our clients have a passion for the sector and are rightly very proud to be part of the NHS. The Thursday night black tie dinner and award ceremony allows the delegates to  celebrate individual and organisational teams successes and  contributions to the sector. As with every organisation, individuals work very hard through the year and I think it is essential that hard work is recognised. With the conference being held at the end of the calendar year, it is a great opportunity to reflect, reward and renew.

So for those talented individuals who are up for awards this year…congratulations and good luck!

Please do shout about your individual or team successes, it is all of these extras that make it far easier for us as consultants to attract the best talent to your particular organisation.
For those who are attending please do come a visit our stand. I hope to see you there…and for the first time this year…Merry Christmas!
