Overview

Birmingham Children’s Trust aims to make a positive difference for children, young people and families in Birmingham City. 

We have worked with Birmingham Children’s Trust for over 10 years, providing recruitment support on a temporary, fixed term and permanent basis. 

During 2023 we made over 100 placements with Birmingham Children's Trust across many of our professional services recruitment specialisms including: Solicitors and Legal Assistants, Head of Finance and Finance Assistants, Receptionists and Security Guards, and Business Support Administrators and Officers. 

Account management 

Birmingham Children’s Trust is managed internally by two of our senior Consultants: Adam Rouse and Kate Jasper, who work together to ensure the varying needs of the Trust are met. 

Adam Rouse, Senior Business Manager, specialises in professional services recruitment across the public and not-for-profit sectors within the West Midlands. Joining Sellick Partnership in March 2014, Adam has built a wide network of candidates within his specialist sector, supported by his in-depth understanding of the challenges and niches within his specialism, and the skills and expertise to assess vacancies and candidates to ensure a credible match. Adam is supported by a local team of four Consultants who specialise within corporate recruitment across the public and not-for profit sectors in the Midlands. 

Kate Jasper, Senior Business Manager. Kate joined Sellick Partnership in 2009 and has over ten years’ experience specifically within legal recruitment, specialising in public sector recruitment across the West Midlands. Kate’s well established candidate network and expertise within her market sets her out as a recruitment partner of choice within her field.

The service provided to Birmingham Children’s Trust by their dedicated Account Management team includes:

  • Detailed job briefing calls/meetings agreeing key timescales and KPIs, with regular progress updates.
  • Sourcing temporary candidates, often with a very quick turn around, drawing on our extensive database of registered and vetted talent.
  • Closely monitoring new and emerging talent to ensure we register any new contractors entering the market – either moving away from their permanent employment or progressing through their contracting career.
  • Managing difficult to fill permanent campaigns, generating high quality shortlists for niche vacancies through a combination of wide-reaching advertisement campaigns, proactive headhunting, LinkedIn Recruiter engagement, and referrals from our networks.
  • Undertaking assessment of candidates’ in-line with vacancy briefs, including: face-to-face interviews and full compliance checking including right to work, ID, referencing, qualification/membership checks.
  • Arranging interviews and managing feedback to candidates.
  • Offer management, on-boarding, post placement management, off-boarding of temporary workers.
  • Contract performance management including feedback and MI reporting.
  • Management of temporary workers timesheets and invoicing, in addition to prompt invoicing of permanent fees.
