What is your previous experience and/or education?
Prior to joining Sellick Partnership, I received a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool. I also previously worked as a Commercial Manager for HSBC sourcing new business and retaining existing customers – similar to my current role at Sellick Partnership! What is your area of expertise/specialism and what geographical areas will you cover?
My specialist field is placing housing professionals across the East Midlands. I place candidates in a range of areas including housing management, supported housing, housing needs and maintenance & property services.
What skills do you feel you have that will help you succeed at Sellick Partnership and why?
To succeed at Sellick Partnership and in the recruitment sector you need to have strong interpersonal skills. I pride myself on my ability to quickly read people and empathise with them, allowing me to have a stronger understanding of both candidates’ and clients’ needs and requirements which I can then meet. I am also very dedicated and ensure every task I undertake is completed to the highest standard. What attracted you to your role at Sellick Partnership?
I was attracted to Sellick Partnership’s high staff retention which is extremely rare in such a highly-pressurised sector such as recruitment. Their extensive rewards scheme for staff was also a huge selling point. The ability to be able to stand out to an employer through hard work and dedication was of particular interest to me.What is an interesting/fun fact about yourself?
I have played a football match at the baseball ground (Derby County’s old stadium), Pride Park (Derby’s new stadium), Elland Road (Leeds United Stadium) and Oakwell stadium (Barnsley’s stadium). I was an injury away from playing at St George’s Park (The FA’s new training ground for the England football team!)
