What is your previous experience and/or education?
I graduated from Liverpool’s John Moore University in 2002 with a 2.1 in Law after which I undertook and Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Leeds Metropolitan University. After studying I went on to work for Plexus Law in Leeds for 10 years where I completed my training and started working as a Trainee Solicitor specialising in defendant insurance law working on cases involving negligence, employers liability, occupiers liability, product liability and property damage.
After this I did a two and a half year stint as a headhunter at Mackinnon Bruce International before joining Sellick Partnership in February 2017.
What is your area of expertise/specialism and what geographical areas will you cover?
I currently recruit for permanent legal professionals across Hertfordshire and Essex, with a prominent focus on private practice positions.What skills do you feel you have that will help you succeed at Sellick Partnership and why?
To be successful in law and recruitment you must have excellent communication skills and a strong ability to build relationships with candidates and clients which I believe I have. My previous experience as a solicitor gives me a huge advantage working within this sector, and I believe my previous training will be beneficial when working with clients and candidates. What attracted you to your role at Sellick Partnership?
I was extremely attracted to Sellick Partnership’s excellent reputation in the market, and was impressed during the interview process by their unique company culture and strong focus on employee development and training. What is an interesting/fun fact about yourself?
I was born in Cape Town and it remains one of my favourite destinations.
