How does an umbrella provider work?

Umbrella providers serve as an intermediary between you (the contractor) and Sellick Partnership, with their primary responsibility being to arrange payment for your work.

Using an umbrella provider is the main alternative for contractors, freelancers and temporary workers in the UK to setting up a limited company, and means that expenses can be claimed such as mileage, travel expenses, hotel or accommodation expenses and professional subscriptions.

Claiming these expenses through the umbrella company means that you (the contractor) can often end up with more income.
