Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Cost Accountant for a recognisable, profitable, and expanding business in Ellesmere Port. My client is looking to recruit a high calibre, experienced, and ambitious individual as a result of continued growth across the business.

Within this role, you will be reporting directly into the Costings Manager, and you will have the opportunity to shape the role and take ownership of the full costing process. A key driver for the business is retaining and developing their staff and as a result, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career and become a key member of the businesses team.

Some Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant include;

  • Establishing the standard costs of services or products
  • Updating the standard costs of products and services based on the associated expenses
  • Monitor standard costs and regularly update them
  • Review manufacturing performance and stock
  • Monitoring balances and variances across different product lines.
  • Other Ad-hoc tasks when required

The ideal Cost Accountant candidate will have;

  • Ideally previous experience working as a Cost Accountant and experience of dealing with costings and manufacturing variances
  • Have worked in a fast-paced environment (preferably in manufacturing)
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of SAP (not essential as training will be given)
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of processes and systems
  • Motivation to develop and build strong working relationships

If you consider yourself to be a proactive rather than reactive individual, committed, career driven professional who can demonstrate the above experience and who would welcome the stimulus of this finance post then we would be pleased to hear from you.

If you believe you have the necessary skills, ambition, and experience for this Cost Accountant role, please apply now, or contact Harry Mellor at Sellick Partnership. With the department workload increasing due to the success of the organisation, the client is looking for a relatively quick appointment. The closing date is Friday 24th May at 4:00pm.

Sellick Partnership is proud to be an inclusive and accessible recruitment business and we support applications from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances. Please note, our advertisements use years' experience, hourly rates, and salary levels purely as a guide and we assess applications based on the experience and skills evidenced on the CV.
