An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Newcastle, providing vital support to a busy legal team.

Working closely with the Head of Department and fee earners, you'll play a key role in the smooth running of the department, providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support. Your responsibilities will include copy typing, preparing legal documents, managing client correspondence, maintaining diaries, arranging meetings and ensuring documents are accurately filed both electronically and in hard copy. About you:

  • Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary within a law firm is essential
  • Strong typing speed and accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using word processing systems and managing legal documentation
  • Knowledge of legal terminology
  • Excellent organisational, communication and client care skills
  • Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
  • A proactive, professional and adaptable approach
