D&I commitments

Our D&I commitments

Our inclusion agenda is driven by our employees, led by the Diversity Champions, and empowered by senior management. As a recruitment specialist, we are passionate about inclusivity throughout the recruitment process, ensuring that individuality is respected and embraced, and work proactively to engage with candidates from all backgrounds.

As an employer we are equally committed to ensuring our internal processes and culture are inclusive and promote thought leadership, continually striving to drive forward change.

To monitor progress and ensure continuous improvement our Diversity Champions maintain a Diversity Charter detailing both our core EDI commitments as a business, as well as new initiatives, ongoing projects and gap analysis. You can read more about our core EDI commitments below.

Policy and strategy

Effective management of an up-to-date D&I Statement, taking into consideration all nine protected characteristics as part of our inclusion strategy.

D&I Charter

Led by the Diversity Champions, tracking and monitoring improvements to our processes and initiatives to increase inclusivity.

External partners

Seeking external input across communities, to critically review the effectiveness of our initiatives, and ensure that we continually improve and develop.

Leading social commentary

Adding thought provoking commentary via social media posts and blogs to challenge stereotypes and promote inclusivity.

Internal reporting

Capturing and reporting on internal diversity statistics to provide insight into our own performance and areas for improvement.

Diversity statistics

Capturing and reporting Diversity & Inclusion statistics to provide insight into our performance and to feed into our clients' EDI metrics.

D&I training

Enhanced D&I training on EDI legislation, writing inclusive adverts, characterless CVs and understanding the impact of unconscious bias in decision making.

Recruitment processes

Ensuring our attraction and recruitment processes are inclusive, promoting our approach to diversity to reflect the communities we operate within.

2023: Our year in review

We were busy throughout 2023, working on numerous projects and campaigns to ensure Sellick Partnership is a true inclusive recruitment partner.

These include (but are certainly not limited to):

  • An external training programme, which all of our Diversity Champions attended.
  • An internal training programme was created off the back of our external training - this has been delivered to all employees, with the following modules covered:
    • Terminology and meaning
    • Unconscious bias
    • Assisting clients with inclusive recruitment processes
  • A new Recruitment Inclusion Checklist, which can be provided to clients upon request, was created to improve the recruitment experience for all candidates
  • New and useful pieces of content - these can be found on the Diversity & Inclusion category of our Insights page
  • Reviews of internal recruitment packs and processes to ensure we are an inclusive employer.
  • Running a dedicated D&I calendar with key dates covered throughout the year.
  • A number of awards and accreditations, including:
    • Best Workplaces for Wellbeing
    • Best Workplaces for Women
    • Disability Confident (Level 1)
    • Race at Work Charter
    • Race Fairness Commitment

The Diversity Champions are now looking ahead to see what topics or resources can be covered and/or created to help clients, candidates, and internal processes become more inclusive.
