Working Pattern: Hybrid, with approximately 2 days on site

Sellick Partnership is delighted to collaborate with a leading local authority for the recruitment of two experienced Building Surveying Managers to join a leading local authority housing service.

This role is ideal for a qualified Building Surveyor, Chartered Surveyor, Property Maintenance Manager, or Housing Asset professional looking to lead major investment and maintenance programmes across a substantial residential property portfolio.

You will be responsible for delivering high-value capital improvement projects, planned maintenance programmes, responsive repairs strategies, and housing asset initiatives while managing a team of surveyors and technical professionals.

Key Responsibilities of the Building Surveying Manager includes:

• Lead and manage a team of Building Surveyors and technical officers.

• Deliver major capital works, planned maintenance and housing improvement programmes.

• Oversee repairs, maintenance, refurbishment, demolition and compliance projects.

• Manage procurement activity, tendering exercises and contract administration.

• Ensure compliance across CDM, Health & Safety, Building Regulations and statutory requirements.

• Lead project delivery from feasibility, specification and design through to completion.

• Manage significant budgets and provide strategic asset management advice.

• Build strong relationships with tenants, contractors, senior stakeholders and councillors.

• Drive continuous improvement across property and housing maintenance services.

• Prepare reports, policies and strategies for senior leadership and committee meetings.

As the Building Surveying Specialist, you will hold:

• Building Surveying Degree (or equivalent property qualification)

• IOSH Managing Safely

• Membership of RICS, CIOB or equivalent professional body (desirable)

• Extensive post-qualification Building Surveying experience

• Strong project and people management skills
