Salary or Day Rate: £13 to £15 per hour PAYE + Holiday Pay

Sellick Partnership are working with a public sector organisation who are seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to provide essential business and administrative support, with a particular focus on supporting the service in responding to emergency and urgent situations.

The responsibilities of the Business Support Officer will be:

  • Providing business support to ensure an effective response to emergency and urgent situations.
  • Responding to enquiries and supporting the coordination of appropriate actions.
  • Providing accurate and timely administrative support across the service.
  • Maintaining records and information accurately.
  • Managing competing priorities and responding effectively to unexpected situations.
  • Working with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure a responsive and efficient service.

The ideal candidate for the Business Support Officer role will have:

  • Previous experience in business support, administration or a similar role.
  • Experience providing support in an emergency, urgent or time-sensitive environment.
  • The ability to remain calm and organised when dealing with unexpected or high-pressure situations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good IT and administrative skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively to deadlines.
  • Previous public sector, local authority, children's services or emergency services experience would be advantageous.

Working Pattern:

This is a 29.5 hour per week position, working across weekdays and weekends.

  • Saturday and Sunday: 8:45am to 1:30pm
  • Two additional weekdays: Dependent on business requirements and operated on a two-week rota.
