9-Month Fixed Term Contract Salary: £49,000 - £57,000 Hybrid Working | 2 Days On-Site Per Week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Capital Accountant to join our client on a 9-month fixed term contract. This role will play a key part in supporting the finance team through a busy period, ensuring the effective management of capital accounting processes, financial reporting, and year-end activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part qualified accounting professional with capital accounting experience who is looking to make an immediate impact within a complex and fast-paced environment.

Capital Accountant: Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the production of year-end capital accounts.
• Manage capital valuations, revaluations, and associated recalculations.
• Prepare and complete TAC forms and supporting documentation.
• Undertake month-end accounting activities and reconciliations.
• Maintain and monitor the capital ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Complete statutory returns and PSR submissions.
• Produce capital reports and provide supporting analysis to key stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain robust financial documentation and audit trails.
• Support the ongoing management and monitoring of the capital programme.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements.

Capital Accountant: About You

• CCAB qualified (or equivalent) accountant.
• Previous experience working within capital accounting.
• Strong understanding of capital financing, asset accounting, and year-end processes.
• Experience of producing statutory returns and financial reports.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively within tight deadlines.
