Commissioning Manager (Adult Social Care)

Role Title: Senior Integrated Commissioning Manager
Type: Interim 6-month contracts
Day Rate: £400 to £500 per day
Hybrid: Hybrid / Agile Working
Location: Bedfordshire

Sellick Partnership are working with a Local Authority who are seeking an experienced Senior Integrated Commissioning Manager to join their Adults Commissioning function.

This is a senior commissioning role focused on supporting the development and delivery of commissioning strategies across Adult Social Care, with particular emphasis on older people's services, care homes and extra care. The successful candidate will lead complex commissioning projects, develop new service models and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to improve outcomes and ensure services provide value for money.

The responsibilities of the Senior Integrated Commissioning Manager will be:

• Lead commissioning strategies, projects and service reviews across Adult Social Care, from initial needs analysis through to implementation.
• Develop service specifications, contracts and business cases for new schemes, services and models of care.
• Manage relationships with providers and partners, overseeing performance, contract delivery and market development.
• Analyse complex data and information to develop options, recommendations and commissioning solutions for senior stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with Local Authority, NHS, voluntary sector and community partners to deliver sustainable and outcome-focused services.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Integrated Commissioning Manager role will have:

• Significant Adult Social Care commissioning experience, ideally across care homes, extra care and older people's services.
• Experience developing business cases, service specifications and new schemes/service models.
• Strong knowledge of the commissioning cycle, contract management, performance management and market development.
• Experience leading complex projects, transformation or change within a Local Authority, NHS or wider public sector environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and negotiate across different organisations.
