Hybrid (attendance for meetings)
£400-480 a day
Sellick Partnership are delighted to be supporting a local authority in Yorkshire with the recruitment of a Democratic Services Team Leader to join their team on a locum basis. The role can be worked remotely, other than for cabinet and committee meetings. All of their meetings are held during the day.
The Democratic Services Team Leader role will be until the end of June 2027 and the main responsibilities will be:
- Management of 5 members of staff
- Organising and attending a range of meetings and committees, including Cabinet meetings
- Oversee committee cycles, scrutiny support, agenda planning, report assurance, and publication of papers for Council and Cabinet meetings
- Maintain high standards of legal compliance, transparency, good governance, and adherence to data protection
- Act as a principal point of advice and guidance for elected Members, senior officers, and partners on constitutional and governance matters.
