An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Partner to join a highly regarded and specialist Employment team in Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Employment lawyer to take a leading role within a high-quality team, advising a diverse client base while helping to grow the practice and develop junior talent.

The Opportunity

You'll manage a sophisticated portfolio of Employment work while building strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.

Your workload is likely to include:

  • Employment Tribunal claims
  • Complex and high-value employment disputes
  • Senior executive matters
  • Settlement agreements
  • Disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Redundancy and restructuring
  • TUPE
  • Employment contracts and policies
  • Managing your own portfolio of clients
  • Supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers
  • Building and maintaining strong client and referrer relationships
  • Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the Manchester office

About You

  • Extensive experience in Employment Law
  • Strong track record advising both employers and/or senior employees
  • Technically confident across contentious and non-contentious Employment matters
  • Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
  • Commercially minded with a strong business development focus
  • Confident building long-term client and professional relationships
  • Excellent communication skills and sound judgement
  • Already operating at Partner level, or a Legal Director/Senior Associate ready for the next step
