HB Public Law is an innovative and ambitious shared legal service operated by and based in the London Borough of Harrow and providing legal support to the London Boroughs of Harrow, Barnet and Hounslow, together with Slough Borough Council.
HB Public Law are looking to recruit a Lawyer or Senior Homelessness and Judicial Review Lawyer to join their highly regarded Housing and Civil Litigation Team. This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a varied and rewarding caseload across four local authorities, advising on matters that have a direct impact on local communities.
Applications from newly qualified lawyers are welcome, as well as applications from those with experience in housing law or broader civil litigation.
Whether you are currently working in local government, private practice, a housing association, or another relevant environment, we would be keen to hear from you.
Responsibilities of the Homelessness and Judicial Review Lawyer:
The Homelessness and Judicial Review Lawyer will manage their own caseload and provide practical, solution-focused advice to clients.
Strong knowledge of the following is required, along with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice on urgent and sensitive matters:
Depending on experience, the Homelessness and Judicial Review Lawyer will also support and mentor junior colleagues, contribute to training initiatives and help develop best practice across the team.
The team undertakes a wide range of housing and civil litigation work, which the Homelessness and Judicial Review Lawyer may also be required to support with on occasion.
