Housing Litigation Lawyer

Sellick Partnership are working with a reputable central London Council to recruit a Housing Litigation Lawyer to join their team on a locum basis.

About the role:

The role will initially be offered on a three-month contract, with the potential for a longer-term extension. The Council can accommodate a hybrid working arrangement, with the successful candidate required to attend the office three days per week.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of local authority statutory duties and substantial, recent experience in the following:

  • Disrepair
  • Homelessness
  • Judicial review
  • Possession proceedings
  • Antisocial Behaviour
  • Advocacy covering injunction hearings

About you:

You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with thorough knowledge of civil litigation and housing law, ideally gained from working in local government. Candidates with extensive knowledge from the private sector or other public sector organisations may also be considered.
