NQ Court of Protection Solicitor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a highly regarded and specialist team supporting clients and their families across Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence matters.

This is a great opportunity for an NQ to 2PQE Solicitor with previous Court of Protection experience, looking to develop their career within a close-knit and supportive specialist team. The role would suit either a newly qualified Solicitor taking their first step post-qualification or a junior Associate seeking a move into a dedicated Court of Protection practice.

The Opportunity:

You'll work as part of a specialist Court of Protection team providing professional deputyship services for clients who lack the mental capacity to manage their own damages and compensation awards.

Your workload is likely to include:

• Providing professional deputyship services for clients lacking capacity

• Supporting clients and their families in managing damages and compensation awards

• Advising on Court of Protection matters and applying relevant legal and ethical principles

• Working closely with clients, families, experts and other professional advisers

• Managing sensitive situations and difficult conversations with care and professionalism

• Conducting legal research and providing clear, practical advice

• Managing a varied caseload and working effectively to deadlines

• Working collaboratively with colleagues across Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams

About You:

• NQ to 2PQE Solicitor

• Previous Court of Protection experience is essential

• Strong understanding of relevant legal and ethical principles

• Sensitive and confident approach when dealing with clients, families and experts

• Excellent communication and client care skills

• Strong legal research and analytical skills

• Highly organised with excellent time management skills

• Comfortable managing a complex workload and working to tight deadlines

• A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a supportive environment
