An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a highly regarded and busy Real Estate & Projects team in Leeds.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced property paralegal looking to take the next step in their career, working alongside experienced Solicitors and Partners while developing their own caseload across a broad range of high-quality property transactions.

The Opportunity:

You'll work with a varied client base including Registered Providers, management companies, landowners, investors, charities and developers, gaining exposure to both commercial and residential property work.

Your workload is likely to include:

  • Supporting Solicitors and fee earners with the day-to-day running of files
  • Preparing transaction summaries and reports covering development and land agreements
  • Reviewing due diligence searches and assisting with reports on title
  • Supporting development site acquisitions
  • Assisting with land transfers and pre- and post-completion matters
  • Preparing statements and submitting priority searches
  • Undertaking Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions
  • Drafting ancillary documentation including Deeds of Covenant, Land Registry certificates and Transfers
  • Building and developing your own caseload
  • Working closely with the wider team and contributing to business development and training initiatives

About You:

  • Have a 2:2 degree or above in Law or an appropriate conversion
  • Have 3+ years' experience dealing with the conveyancing process
  • Have demonstrable commercial or residential property experience
  • Possess strong legal research and drafting skills
  • Have excellent organisation, administration and time management skills
  • Are confident managing a busy workload and competing deadlines
  • Have excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Can work independently while also being a supportive team player
  • Are commercially aware, proactive and keen to develop
  • Have strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
