  • £45 - £55 per hour
  • Cornwall
  • Locum
  • Legal, Private Practice

Our client is a well-established law firm based in Truro, and they are seeking an experienced Property Solicitor to join their team on a three-month locum basis.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work across both residential and commercial property, with a particular focus on running residential matters while providing supervision and support to a trainee solicitor working within the commercial property team.

The Role

The successful locum will take responsibility for managing a caseload of residential property matters, while also working alongside and supervising a trainee solicitor on commercial property matters.

You will be joining an established, collaborative team structure, working alongside the Solicitor Head of Department, trainee solicitor and highly capable paralegals who undertake fee-earning work.

The firm places a strong emphasis on teamwork, so this would suit a solicitor who enjoys working collaboratively while also being confident managing their own caseload and providing guidance to more junior colleagues.

About You

We are looking for a qualified solicitor with solid experience across both residential and commercial property.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience handling a varied residential property caseload independently
  • Good knowledge and experience of commercial property matters
  • Experience supervising, supporting or mentoring junior colleagues
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A pragmatic and professional approach
  • The confidence to take ownership of matters and provide appropriate guidance to the wider team

Working Arrangement

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with the successful candidate required to attend the firm's Truro office at least once a week. The remainder of the role can be undertaken remotely, subject to the firm's requirements.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property solicitor looking for a three-month locum assignment with an established Truro-based law firm.

If you are a qualified solicitor with experience across residential and commercial property and are available for a three-month locum assignment, we would be keen to hear from you.
